- Add your BMR to your level of activity and subtract the intake of calories a day. If the Intake is higher than how you burn it then you will gain weight and vice versa.
- Review the types of food you eat and decide which foods to cut down or replace with healthier alternatives.
- Plan meals as it help you focus on balanced diets and reduce the temptation of grabbing a fast food. In addition, shop when full as it makes it easier to stick to your list.
- While eating, reduce portion size as it reduces calorie intake.
- Increase fiber intake. It is useful in helping in digestion and absorption of food and is known to keep diabetes and heart diseases at bay
